TALIBANS
By S.P. Attri (USA)
1. Taliban fury and rampage is a matter of anxiety and
concern to most all of us. Taliban may very well spin out as
a Frankenstein's Monster, which is now firmly locked in
Afghanistan. This Monster Product was brought into existence
by Pakistan (Dr. Frankenstein) who now wears the crown of
its creation and enjoys the agony and ecstacy of its
invention. The Talibans have been industriously
indoctrinated by Paki Mullahs and Maulvies and Pakistan's
ISI has invested a great deal of money into Taliban
Establishment, to make them full-fledged, Quran-Coached,
Mujahid Sipahis of Islam. Taliban's Murder Machine
(Military) is out-fitted with US Weapons, which were
consigned to them via Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, for the
precise purpose of keeping the Russians out of Afghanistan
during the Russo-Aghanistan hot war of a few years ago. That
war is now ended but the land of Afghanistan and the US
Weapons are still there and are firmly in the control and
custody of the Talibans.
2. But as it comes to pass in all Frankenstein movies, this
monster shortly or belatedly goes after its creator, Dr.
Frankenstein (Pakistan in this case) who in utter
bewilderment at his murky monster creation coming at him,
vainly tries to order him back but to no avail.
3. What has gone un-noticed, in this frigid fear of the
Talibans, is the Durand-Line, the so-called boundary line
between Afghanistan and the NWFP province of Pakistan.
Afghanistan has never accepted this Durand-Line as the
boundary because it regards the Pushto-speaking people and
their home-land (the NWFP province of Pakistan) as a part
and portion of Afghanistan. Afghanistan has expressed this
specific voice many times in the past.
Also under-played and under-reported is the doctrinal
discord between the Sunni and the Shiite populations of
Afghanistan and Pakistan, regarding Quran and the nature of
Islam itself. This may appear to some like hair-splitting
but a lot of blood has been shed over it in both Afghanistan
and Pakistan. This is because the Sunnis regard the Shiites
as ruled by the demoniac powers and consider it their duty
to wrestle with those (the Shiites) whose ideas of Islam are
different from theirs. The Shiites, in turn, regard the
Sunnis as possessed by the Devil and consider it their
devout divine duty to fight them. This horrid insanity many
times reaches its peak and ghoulish demands are made in the
customary horror classic of Islam.
4. Also odiously overlooked is the clear possibility that
Taliban-style group of Moslems may actually take over the
government of Pakistan. Taliban-style Mullahs and their
loyal followers in swarms of crowds have been seen daily
shouting deafening slogans in several Pakistani cities,
clearly alluding to the possibility of Taliban-style bunch
of people capturing the reins of government in Pakistan. The
line may be drawn by the glorious replacement of Nawaz
Shariff as the Prime Minister, on particular charges of tax
evasion and his fabulous un-earned wealth, requiring
clean-up action according to the untainted and pure rules of
the Islamic Shariah. If that happens, the clean-up of Shiite
Moslems from Pakistan, also is inevitably and undubitably
bound to follow. Would Iran sit quiet and undisturbed if
that happens to its kith and kin right across the border in
neighboring Pakistan?
5. Then there are six Central Asian Republics that are
horrified by the bestial barbarity of Taliban Islam and
cannot be indifferent to the possibility of Taliban
extension into their countries. Taliban-Afghanistan is also
next door to the Chinese province of Sinkiang, where Moslems
are in a majority and which has been plagued with badgering
anti-Chinese protests and riots in the past. China cannot
possibly view with a placid face, the distinct possibility
of Taliban extension into its already-troubled province of
Sinkiang. Russia is also more than concerned because of its
proximity to the six Central Asian republics.
6. As things stack up now in and around the Taliban area,
the military situation seems to be getting more and more
complex as time marches on, and the outcome of this
complexity is neither predictable nor certain. In fact, it
is beginning to look more and more like the signs of
Nostradamus's Prophesies. There may very well be important
and material opportunities for India (a full discussion of
these is beyond the scope of this message) provided India
has the right type of government at the moment of time.
7. Regarding the US: The US, like the Agha Khans, are very
good at "betting on the wrong horses." They react to the
situation as it changes and unfolds itself but in reality do
not have the slightest clue as to what is going on. Their
operations and procedures are Reactive. Sitting in their
rocking chairs, they muddle through the events
disconcertedly as they evolve.
